I’ve always wanted to try Carousel’s buffet since forever, because I can safely say, it’s one of the highly talked about up-scale buffet places in town. And, I was lucky to be taken there for my birthday.
Carousel @ Royal Plaza on Scotts boasts so many different cuisines under one roof that you’ll seriously be spoilt for choices. From sushi rolls to salad to a paradise for seafood lovers to chicken rice and noodles along with other Asian delights like Naans and paneers that I definitely wished I had a bigger stomach to try almost every dish.
My highlight definitely was the seafood section. From their crayfish to oysters to mussels to scallops to tiger prawns! If you’re not a seafood lover, international buffets like Carousel’s are not worth it for you because you would be wasting your money. Don’t say you were not warned!
My 2nd highlight would be the chocolate fondue along with all their other desserts. Looking at how filled my plate was you can imagine how many calories I put on after the buffet. But, I guess, birthdays are an excuse to indulge am I not right?
Weekend dinner buffets start from SGD 75 while weekday dinner buffets are from SGD 62 onwards. Breakfast, lunch and high tea options are available too with their menu varying for each time of the day. Certain credit cards offer up to 15% off so it would be definitely worth celebrating a special occasion at Carousel this festive season.Carousel 25 Scotts Road Lobby Level Royal Plaza on Scotts Singapore 228220 Tel: 6589 7799 http://www.carouselbuffet.com.sg/ All images belong to Solosingaporean.
