My first post on solosingaporean was a “Currently” post and now 81 posts later, I’m back with another one of these again.

Reading: What I know now (letters to my younger self)  by Ellyn Spragins. A lot of other book on my reading list as well. Check it out here!

Watching/Listening to: Nothing in particular. Any recommendations? Need something light-hearted, perfect for a (lazy) weekend.

Thinking about: You wouldn’t wanna know how many different (million) thoughts are running through my mind at the moment. Some of them are as follows:

-Surprises for my sister’s birthday in a month’s time.

-I’m considering getting myself a Kindle to save on storage space in my room. I know I’m going against my principle of switching to digital books considering how much I love the the smell of new books and flipping actual pages instead of a swipe of a finger. But, we’ll see. I’ll try to find the middle ground between buying books from the shelf and e-books. If you have a Kindle or the likes, lemme know what you love/hate about it. It will help me a lot! Thanks!

-I’ve got my hands on a new gadget toy yesterday.

Apart from the poor battery performance, I’m head over heels in love with it. I can’t decide if I love this or my Ipad more. Do I even need to? 🙂

Working on: This should be more appropriately what I’m planning to work on, since right now, I haven’t gotten about doing anything. I need to start looking up on graduate study options. Then, settle things to do as well as bookings for my Australia travel in September/October. I’ll be heading to Ayer’s Rock and Great Barrier Reef!! 🙂 So exciting! If you’ve been there drop me some tips, I’d love to hear from you!

Anticipating: The weekend. It’s going to be lazy weekend cause I desperately need some time for myself, with myself to just breathe. I feel like this month has been so crazy despite me thinking summer was gonna be boring.

Also, looking forward to tomorrow night’s midnight brunch! First time eating a meal, that too brunch food, from 11pm to 2am. Plus, there’s gonna be free flow of champagne! Look out for a post next week on how my experience was or you could stalk me on instagram (@subathrad)!

Have a good weekend people! Just the way you’d like it, doing nothing or everything you want! Cheers! 🙂

The post below has been inspired by Danielle so I take no credit for the idea.

Reading: Elizabeth Gilbert’s Eat, Pray, Love. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read this but I’m re-reading this again and then gonna get started on Committed. I still can’t decide if I prefer EPL the book or the movie starring Julia Roberts. If my house was burning down, this would definitely be one of the books I’ll save. Followed by Perks of being a wallflower and then Mitch Albom’s books. Tuesdays with Morrie is my favourite.

Watching/listening to: Adele’s royal albert hall performance.

I might have already watched this 48.65 times but I just cannot get enough of this. I used to enjoy her music on it’s own but after this concert of hers, no prizes for guessing the latest addition to my bucket list. TO WATCH HER CONCERT LIVE! Her personality just shines through so brilliantly with her little anecdotes before every song, jokes and laughter. She doesn’t wear a mask or try and hide her real self from her audience. It’s almost rare to find such a celebrity/artiste these days isn’t it? Tell me which other celebrity can remark “I’m such a emotional wreck” and laugh off her tears after rendering “Someone like you” – her famous break-up record from her album 21!

Buying this album was such a perfect start to my year. Adele is such a vocal goddess. Please check this concert out if you haven’t, I assure you best 99 mins and 19 seconds ever spent.

Working on: All the things I’ve started on this week alone. OMG!

The highlight would be this – The Smart Local. As the name suggests it’s a broader version of Hungrygowhere. You can find reviews of anything and everything available in Singapore here. Helpful site for both locals and foreigners. Do check them out!

Also, working on my bucket list for Australia. Listography is such an awesome page for you to collate all your bucket lists and tick them off as and when you complete them. How cool is that?!

Thinking about: To swim twice before Monday. Travel plans for this year.

Anticipating: I need to get my hands on a couple of books. Times seems to have ran out of all the books I’ve wanted. Boohoo! Buying books in Singapore has become a pain and hassle after the closing of Borders and Page One. We just have Times, MPH and Kinokuniya left. Popular doesn’t really count, does it? Have I missed any other bookstore out?

1. The lazy millionaire by Marc Fisher.

2. Looking for Alaska by John Green.

I might just settle for Amazon. Pfft.

Feel free to do your own “currently” post. You might just have as much fun as I did. Have a great weekend, lovely people!

P.S. I’m new to this, so I’d appreciate all the love I can get. Merci beaucoup.
